This paper aims to propose a model of Islamic Integrated Personality (IIP) which is designed by adopting an integrative educational approach. At the first part, it will examine the issue of disintegrated personality which creates dilemma in Muslim Ummah resulted from the issue of educational dualism; the co-existence of traditional religious and modern secular systems of education. The second part, an integrative educational approach as a methodological framework of IIP will be elucidated. The third part will identify some characteristic and indicators of IIP in order to develop a model of personality. Finally, some implications of this proposed model of Islamic personality will be discussed. This conceptual research focuses on developing a theory to design a model of Islamic personality. It involves the integration of three domains of research processes namely conceptual, methodological and substantive. In this contemporary world, Muslim Ummah witnesses numerous problems such as corruption, oppression, depression and aggression among Muslim people even those highly educated people. The existing systems of education seem facing failure in developing a good personality of Muslim. It has been perceived that the modern secular system of education was seemingly has high market value but producing alienated professionals whereas the traditional system of education tends to be neglected and producing unproductive religious scholars. Their products have opposing world-views, life-styles and personalities. Hence, there is an urgent need to develop an individual with an Islamic personality. As a consequence, the system of education and its approach should be transformed to be more Islamic. This crucial issue becomes a major concern for some contemporary Muslim scholars, certain efforts could be taken such as; construct a framework of integrative educational approach based on the Islamic educational aims and integrated components and their underpinning elements. There are seven educational objectives are identified which are spiritual liberation, moral development, cultivation of intellect, physical growth, preparation for real life, individual benefits, social benefits. In relation to develop IIP, an integrative method is designed. This method incorporates ‘4Ts’ namely Ta’dīb for self-purification, Tarbiyah for social enhancement, Ta’līm for academic teaching and Tahfīz for Quránic Preservation. This implies on the educational processes and outcomes in order to develop such a model of Islamic integrated personality.
