Abstract

This study which is entitled as Development of Teaching Tractor (KIOSK) will focus towards the tractor as a learning tools at UNISZA’s farm. Besides, I also will develop kiosk which is I need to designed a module that was a combination of multimedia elements between graphic and interactivity by using a suitable software in order to develop interactive learning program. So, this study will divide on two which is to develop the learning tools by using actual tractor and the second is to develop the graphic teaching tractor by using a software program. The software that I will use is Adobe Flash CS3 and Adobe Photoshop CS3. For the introduction of my study, kiosk is a computer system that allows a user to access the information. Integration of technology allows kiosks to perform a wide range of functions, evolving into self-service kiosks. An Interactive kiosk is a computer terminal featuring specialized hardware and software designed within a public exhibit that provides access to information and applications such as for communication, commerce, entertainment, and education. So, the development of this module is specialized for education as learning tool by using actual tractor and virtual tractor (kiosk). Virtual tractor is referring to the combination of multimedia elements which is graphic and interactivity. The tractor is the farmer’s workhorse. This amazing machine can be hitched to all sorts of equipment to plough, lift and carry around the farm. A tractor is a vehicle specifically designed to deliver a high tractive effort (or torque) at slow speeds, for the purposes of hauling a trailer or machinery used in agriculture. Most commonly, the term is used to describe a farm vehicle that provides the power and traction to mechanize agricultural tasks, especially which is originally tillage but now a days a great variety of tasks. Agricultural implements may be towed behind or mounted on the tractor, and the tractor may also provide a source of power if the implement is mechanized. Tractors can be generally classified as two-wheel drive, two-wheel drive with front wheel assist, four-wheel drive which is often with articulated steering or track tractors with either two or four powered rubber tracks. The use of tractor to do agricultural mechanized operations is responsible for a fundamental and important role to mechanize agricultural section. I will use Adobe Flash CS3 because this software can create entire web sites including entertainment, e- commerce and for the important thing is for education. It is known as a tool for creating complex animations for the web, Flash also has excellent drawing tools and tools for creating interactive controls, such as navigations buttons and menus. Flash is popular because of the program can be optimized for the web. In addition flash provides for streaming content over the internet. So, by this special feature I will publish the kiosk in internet. So, all the information about the tractor starting from history to the manufacturing that was containing in kiosk will be publishing on the website. The students and peoples that want to know about the tractor can get the information from this kiosk by the easy access through internet.
