Abstract

We developed a low cost microcontroller based power inverter by generating modified sine wave (MSW). The voltage, power and frequency are controlled by a low cost microcontroller that makes it simple and low cost. This inverter is very useful in real life applications because it generates pure sine wave after filtering. In addition, synchronization of this inverter with grid has no problem due to variation of frequency and output voltage. This inverter is reliable and preferable in solar power station and HVDC transmission.
