Abstract

This study investigates the biological effects that are brought by the introduction of different groups to the S-4-picolyldithiocarbazate moiety via the formation of Schiff base ligands and their complexes. 4-Carboxybenzaldehyde and pyridine-2-carboxaldehyde have been used and chelated with Cd(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II) ions.
