Abstract

Human resource is an important asset in any organization. The selection of human resource is a part of human resource management process and it must be done very carefully to ensure the objectives of an organization are achieved. Advances in computer and Internet technologies as well as related software applications improve many aspects of organizational activities including the process of evaluation, selection and decision making. Decision making is one of the manager’s challenging roles. Therefore, the system to support decision making which is called Decision Support System (DSS) can be used to assist the management to select the most eligible human resource. The objective of this paper is to present hybrid models DSS frameworks for effective evaluation and selection of human resource; the tenders. The framework for single DSS (one decision maker performs the evaluation) integrates database, statistical, weight, and Guided Ranked Analytic Hierarchy Process (GRAHP) in association with a system developed by the authors are presented. The framework is then extended to facilitate group decision making in order to gain the collaborative power of the group. Hence, produce better selection decisions.
