Abstract

Malaysian Neighbourhood Security Monitoring System (MyNeST) is an application created for improving security of Neighbourhood Areas. Recently, there are too many incident happen such as robbery, snatch theft and fire burning especially in urban neighbourhood areas. Even though, there are physical securities in those areas, those unwanted events still occur rapidly. MyNeST is design to help physical security system (guards) in order to monitor residence and visitor moving, fast alarm response, broadcast message and real time allocation of unwanted event (threat, fire, snatch theft). Inspirational from real experience of developer to help a family, who trapped in fire burning incident, it’s give an idea how time play a crucial factor in saving human life. Therefore, MyNeST is developed using the combination of technologies (web based, open source web server, mobile development, SMS and GPS Technology, Real Time Allocation , Automatic Vehicle Reader, Google API, etc) to help residence in any emergency situation. MyNeST also introduced panic button in response of emergency event including robbery and fire burning.
